    POTTERY PAINTING — DROP IN

    Pick a piece, grab a brush and get painting. Drop in to The Art House any time during café hours — no experience needed. Eastbourne's most popular drop-in creative activity, and one you'll want to come back to. We'll glaze and fire your pottery and have it ready in 1–2 weeks.

  • POTTERY PAINTING EVENINGS

    The Art House opens its doors three evenings a week, Thursday to Saturday, for some of Eastbourne's most relaxed nights out. Paint pottery over prosecco and cake, enjoy a proper spread of pasta, pizza and charcuterie alongside your creative session, or simply settle in with a glass of wine and a gorgeous sharing board. Whatever kind of evening you're after, there's a spot for you here.

    THURSDAY NIGHT CLAY WORKSHOPS

    Get your hands messy at one of our popular Thursday night sessions in Eastbourne. Current projects include: Jellycats, Beach Huts, Fairy Houses, Gonks, Birdhouses, Mushroom Houses, handmade Mugs, and our Great Pottery Throwdown challenge. Plus a relaxed open Adult Clay Night for those who prefer to make whatever takes their fancy.

    SPECIALIST GLAZE WORKSHOPS

    Want to go a step further than standard pottery painting? Our specialist glaze sessions at The Art House let you work with beautiful, more advanced techniques — all guided by our experienced team.

    Current sessions include Crystal Glaze (from £5* + pottery), Stoneware Mugs (£35) and Stoneware Peacock Bowls (£60). Crystal glazes produce stunning, unpredictable results - no two pieces ever come out the same.

    POTTER'S WHEEL

    Ever wanted to try the potter's wheel? Our one-to-one taster sessions in Eastbourne are 25 minutes on the wheel, taught by a member of our team. You'll always leave with a small bowl - and a story to tell. One of the most unique experiences on offer in East Sussex.

    LINO PRINTING WORKSHOP

    Our monthly lino printing workshop in Eastbourne takes you from blank block to beautiful print in 2 hours and you take your printing plate home.

    Suitable for complete beginners aged 14+.
